Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have strengthened their bilateral cooperation once again. During President Jokowi's visit to Abu Dhabi on July 17th, the two countries reached several significant agreements.
The working visit focused on various bilateral cooperation agreements, both within government spheres and in business sectors.

President Jokowi met with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ), President of the UAE, at Qasr Al Watan to discuss several matters.
The meeting resulted in eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), including:
During the visit, Jokowi was also honored with the Order of Zayed by the UAE President. The Order of Zayed is the highest civilian award given by the UAE to global leaders.

Previous recipients of this award include Xi Jinping of China, Narendra Modi of India, and Vladimir Putin of Russia. The UAE President explained that the award to Jokowi was a personal gesture of appreciation for the strong ties between the UAE and Indonesia.
During the meeting, Jokowi expressed his appreciation to MBZ and thanked him for the honor. This award signifies a special friendship and is named after the late Sheikh Zayed, a global inspirational figure known for his enduring legacy and humanitarian values.
In another gesture, President MBZ awarded the Order of the Union to Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, in recognition of the strong bilateral relations.
