PKM Gallery was founded in Hwa-dong, Jongno-gu in 2001. In 2006, PKM Gallery launched a branch in Beijing, China, then opened PKM Trinity in Cheongdam-dong in 2008. For several years, PKM Gallery has been collaborating with Bartleby & Meursault located in Bukchon, Jongno-gu. In the April of 2014, in commemoration of its 14th anniversary, PKM Gallery was relocated to Samcheong-dong, a district where tradition and modernity coexist. PKM’s spectacular architecture includes a main building with maximum height of 5.5 meters that is comprised of two upper stories and a two-story basement. PKM+, an annex built in 2018, has one upper story and a basement floor and is equipped with a boutique-like gallery space. PKM Gallery, now providing 893 square meters of total gross area and 397 square meters of exhibition space, will continue to strive for opening up a new paradigm in the contemporary art world with its extensive and experimental activities.
