Tharay Khit Taya is an ancient city located in the Irrawaddy River basin in Myanmar, believed to have been one of the major centers of early Burmese civilization. The city is significant in the historical development of Myanmar, particularly in terms of early urbanization and governance. It was one of the early capitals of the Pyu kingdoms, and although its ruins are not as widely known as those of Bagan or Pagan, the site holds important archaeological value.
