Fisherman's Wharf, on the northern waterfront, is one of the city's busiest tourist attractions. Souvenir shops and stalls selling crab and clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls are around every corner, as are postcards showing views of the bay, the Golden Gate and Alcatraz. There is also a sea lion colony and historic ship tours. In Ghirardelli Square, boutiques and restaurants are housed within the former famous chocolate factory.
