    ADNOC Refining, formerly known as the Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER), is a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). Established in 1999, TAKREER was responsible for oil refining in the UAE. In 2018, ADNOC rebranded TAKREER as ADNOC Refining to unify its refining operations under the ADNOC brand. The Ruwais Refinery, situated approximately 245 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi City along the Arabian Gulf coast, is one of the largest and most advanced refineries globally. It has a refining capacity exceeding 922,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd).
