BECIS (Cambodia) Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Berkeley Energy Commercial Industrial ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø (BECIS), is a renewable energy company focusing on sustainable solutions for industrial and commercial sectors in Cambodia. One of its flagship projects is Cambodia's largest biomass power plant, developed in partnership with Heineken Cambodia. This plant, located in Phnom Penh, began operations in late 2022 and uses rice husks from the nearby Prey Veng province to produce renewable thermal energy, primarily supplying the Heineken brewery. The facility is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 60%, equivalent to 17,000 tons annually, aligning with Cambodia's sustainability goals and Heineken’s ambition of achieving net-zero production emissions by 2030.
