    The National Peking Opera Company is a national arts troupe directly under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China. It was established in January 1955. The first director is Mr. Mei Lanfang, a master of Peking Opera. The theater consists of the First Troupe, the Second Troupe, the Youth Troupe, the Mei Lanfang Grand Theater and the People's Theater.
