International Indian School Jeddah formerly known as the Embassy of India School, was founded in 1969. It made a very humble beginning with a limited number of students, staff and infrastructural facilities in a makeshift area. The objective of establishing the school was to impart quality school education to the children of Indian nationals residing in Jeddah. The construction of the present Girls’ Section started in 1982 with the foundation stone laid by the Late Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi and was completed in 1984. The section located in Al-Aziziah Dist. spreads over an area of more than 8000 sq. meters and has all the required facilities. By the late 1980s, the students’ strength had unexpectedly increased to the extent that the vast premises of the school in Al-Aziziah was not sufficient.
