The Korea Biomedicine Industry Association (KoBIA), established in 2011, is a non-profit organization that represents over 160 companies in the bio-health sector. It plays a vital role in advancing South Korea's biopharmaceutical industry by fostering collaboration between government bodies like the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of Science and ICT. This cooperation supports policy development, industry growth, and the competitiveness of its members. KoBIA also leads efforts to propose and revise policies to further enhance the biopharmaceutical landscape.
