Korea University's College of Political Science and Economics has a long history dating back to the opening of Korea University's predecessor, Boseong College, in 1905. It started from the Department of Law and Department of Lee Jae-Hak, which were established at the time of its founding, and was promoted to an independent university in 1959. Over the past 60 years, it has produced numerous leaders in Korean society and is leading social science research in Korea. Currently, about 80 faculty members representing the world's academic community in four departments: Department of Political Science and Diplomacy, Department of Economics, Department of Statistics, and Department of Public Administration are pioneering the frontier of social science through research and education. About 2,100 gifted students are nurturing their dreams of becoming next-generation leaders in a plaza of intelligence and wildness.
