Kuthodaw Pagoda, often referred to as the "World's Largest Book," is a renowned Buddhist site in Mandalay, Myanmar. The pagoda itself houses the world's largest collection of inscribed Buddhist scriptures, with 729 marble slabs on which the teachings of the Buddha are carved. These slabs are kept in individual, small pagodas that surround the main pagoda, creating a visually stunning array. Built in 1857 by King Mindon Min, Kuthodaw Pagoda was part of his effort to preserve the teachings of Buddhism and promote education. The site is both a religious and historical landmark, attracting visitors interested in Myanmar's spiritual and cultural heritage.
