The Mawar-1 well, drilled in Brunei’s onshore Block M, was an exploration project conducted by Tap Oil in collaboration with partners like Triton Borneo Limited and Jana Corp. This well reached a total depth of 1,292 meters, targeting specific reservoirs in the Baram Delta Basin, a region with historically limited exploration. Preliminary results indicated the presence of gas in the primary Ridan formation, though reservoir quality was lower than anticipated.
