PT Transportation Jakarta is a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) which operates in the transportation services sector with full share ownership by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Established on March 27 2014, TransJakarta continues to manage the Trans Jakarta bus fleet which was previously held by the Transjakarta Management Agency, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency and then the Transjakarta Public Service Agency (BLU). As a BUMD which operates in the field of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) transportation, the Transjakarta fleet is the first BRT in Southeast Asia which began operating in 2004. Now apart from BRT services, TransJakarta also provides transportation services such as Mikrotrans, Minitrans, and Metrotrans.
