Subaru Corporation (formerly Fuji Heavy Industries) is the parent of Subaru of America, the automotive company known for its all-wheel-drive (AWD) technology found in crossover vehicles (a sedan drive with SUV looks) such as the Forester and Outback, and in the Impreza, Legacy, and Tribeca models. In addition to Subaru of America, based in the US, the company operates through more than 85 subsidiaries in Japan, China, and Taiwan, and seven equity-method affiliated companies. With more than 440 automobile sales locations in Japan plus location in more than 90 countries and regions, Subaru generates around 20% of its revenue from its home country, Japan.
