Yerevan Thermal Power Plant (Yerevan TPP), officially known as Yerevan Thermal Power Centre CJSC, is a major energy provider in Armenia, located in the capital city of Yerevan. It is one of the key contributors to Armenia's energy grid, focusing on generating electricity and heat for residential, industrial, and commercial consumers. Originally commissioned in the 1960s, Yerevan TPP has undergone several modernization phases. In 2010, a new combined-cycle gas turbine unit was introduced to improve efficiency and environmental standards, enhancing Armenia's energy security by reducing reliance on imports.
