    General Information

    The Laxey Wheel is built into the hillside above the village of Laxey on the Isle of Man. It is the largest working original water wheel in the world. Designed by Robert Casement, the wheel is 72 feet 6 inches in diameter, 6 feet wide and rotates approximately three times per minute.
