Met茅ora is one of the largest and most important Eastern Orthodox monastic complexes in Greece, second only to Mount Athos. Its six monasteries are built on natural stone pillars in Thessaly, Central Greece. The nearest town to the complex is Kalambaka. Met茅ora is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
