Southern Germany鈥檚 Romantic Road (Romantische Stra脽e) is a picturesque 350km route through the forests and mountains of Bavaria and Baden-W眉rttemberg. Its northern endpoint is W眉rzburg, a wine-region city known for the Residenz, an 18th-century baroque palace with a Tiepolo fresco. In the south it ends at F眉ssen, in the foothills of the Alps, near King Ludwig II鈥檚 iconic Neuschwanstein Castle
